Job Summary:

The Bakery Specialist will be responsible for preparing dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as requisitioning and ordering materials, equipment, and supplies. They will also train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  • Operate machinery
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a bakery or related field
  • Permanent employment

  • 35 hours per week
Work Environment:

The Bakery Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and quality control. They will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
