Job Description
The Senior Financial Specialist will contribute to the overall success of Financial Management and Global Transaction Banking. Key responsibilities include ensuring individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed to support business strategies and objectives. The role also involves complying with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Verify and approve expenses submitted through the Travel & Expense platform and monitor delinquency for all GTB Product and Sales.
- Set up Commercial Cards for GTB Sales staff in Canada as applicable and cancel cards when required.
- Manage monthly cell phone invoices for GTB Product and Sales in Canada by verifying and submitting for approval and processing.
- Monitor the Not Interest Bearing Report by requesting a list of new non-at-interest accounts, reviewing the list, distributing it to partners, and taking corrective action.
- Submit internal invoices for legal matters, rent, and general expenses for GTB Sales.
- Conduct GL investigations and reconciliation, identifying discrepancies or errors in the general ledger.
- Review and fulfill invoices, verifying their validity and completeness, and carrying out investigations when necessary.
- Engage with teams and provide support on finance-related functions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in financial analysis, data analytics, or performance measurement.
- Strong background in statistical and quantitative analysis and ability to manipulate large data sets.
- In-depth knowledge of finance concepts, financial reporting, and performance management.
- Ability to apply analytics to business strategy and deliver actionable insights.
- Experience with SQL, Access, VBA is a must.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic negotiating skills.
- Knowledge of payments, credit cards, innovative digital platforms, policies, and procedures.
- Undergraduate degree in statistics, economics, finance, mathematics, commerce is required.
- Master's degree and/or relevant professional designation is preferred.
