Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Flexographic Printing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining flexographic presses to produce high-quality prints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal print quality.
  • Prepare production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
  • Fulfill ink fountains and control colour and viscosity to achieve desired results.
  • Plan production methods to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Estimate costs associated with materials and labour.
  • Set up press and operate at slow speed to check samples before commencing full production.
  • Instruct apprentices on best practices and safety procedures.
  • Monitor regular press run for quality using computer control console.
  • Remove and clean plates and cylinders at end of press run.
  • Set up and adjust in-line binding and finishing equipment as needed.
  • Direct press crew to set up, operate and shut down press during production shifts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in flexographic printing.
