We are seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at Domus Building Cleaning Company Ltd. in Ottawa, Canada.

Job Summary:

As a Heavy Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in our facilities. This includes cleaning floors, walls, and other surfaces, as well as operating cleaning equipment and disposing of trash.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean assigned areas by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing floor surfaces
  • Operate carpet machines of various types
  • Spot clean walls, ceilings, partitions, light switches, doors, and windowsills
  • Wipe and sanitize public utilities such as public phones, furniture, and door handles
  • Clean and sanitize washrooms, restock supplies as needed
  • Follow preset policies, guidelines, and rules to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Previous cleaning/janitorial experience is an asset
  • Ability to lift 40lbs plus on a regular basis
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Reliable and legally allowed to work in Canada
  • Must live in the Ottawa/Gatineau region
