**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all quality metrics are met in the laboratory, and will work closely with our management team to implement and maintain our Quality Management System.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Compliance and Quality Assurance**: Ensure that all laboratory procedures and protocols are followed, and that all quality metrics are met.
  • **Quality Management System**: Lead the implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System, including creating and communicating reports on QA/QC metrics to the management team.
  • **Training and Development**: Provide training to staff on quality procedures and protocols, and participate in professional development and training to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • **Investigation and Reporting**: Investigate client complaints and report responses, and investigate internal corrective actions to ensure effective remedies.
  • **Procedure Development**: Develop, revise, and control management of procedures and associated documents, and assist in the management of the external calibration program and laboratory proficiency testing activities.
  • **Risk-Based Thinking**: Be a strong proponent for risk-based thinking and improvement initiatives, and provide technical and advisory support on matters related to the QMS.
  • **Safety and Professionalism**: Act in a safe and professional manner, and report any unsafe conditions or deviations from documented procedures to the General Manager, Quality.

**Requirements**

  • **Education**: Minimum Science Technical Diploma, BSc, or equivalent experience.
  • **Experience**: Minimum 2 years laboratory experience, and minimum 1-3 years Quality Assurance experience.
  • **Skills**: Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control programs (ISO 17025), excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and ability to work in an organized fashion to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
