The Financial Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate accounting operations. This role involves processing and monitoring cash application functions, adhering to accounting policies and procedures, and suggesting improvements for increased efficiency and control.

Key Responsibilities

Typical tasks and activities for this role include:

  • Verifying transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
  • Preparing, verifying, and processing coding payment documents accurately.
  • Reconciling and monitoring customer accounts.
  • Updating accounts receivable customer files.
  • Investigating and resolving customer queries, processing adjustments as needed.
  • Processing backup reports after data entry.
  • Creating, printing, and distributing financial reports.
  • Proactively seeking efficiency in current processes.
  • Assisting in the development and testing of new processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or 1 year of work experience as a Cash Application Specialist.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional self-control, including maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in difficult situations.
  • Proven track record of increasing responsibility with documented business results.
  • Reliable, responsible, dependable, and strong focus on fulfilling obligations.
  • Proficient ability to 10-key.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
