Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team at The North West Company. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating outbound transportation services for our Canadian operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the company's outbound transportation operation to provide timely delivery at a controlled cost.
  • Arrange transportation of goods on behalf of internal stakeholders, both within and outside of Logistics.
  • Cultivate and maintain logistics partner relationships for greater efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Develop reliable connections with carrier partners to achieve the company's transportation goals.
  • Benchmark service providers and procedures with other companies.
Requirements
  • 3 years industry experience as a logistician.
  • Post-secondary education with a preference for those specializing in Supply Chain and Logistics.
  • Previous experience using transportation and financial modeling tools.
  • Ability to monitor Key Performance Metrics and make business adjustments to align with expectations.
  • Previous experience working with the Oracle Transportation Management System is preferred.
