Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team at Jones DesLauriers. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Marketing Strategy Development: Develop and execute marketing strategies that support business objectives to achieve target goals of increasing brand visibility and driving customer engagement.
  • Marketing Team Management: Hire, lead, mentor, and manage a team of marketing professionals providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster growth and success.
  • Content Creation: Provide creative direction on content creation such as photography, video, and copywriting. Assist in content creation, produce, and revise marketing materials across various formats, ensuring all marketing content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice and optimized for different channels.
  • Marketing Budget Management: Develop and manage marketing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient and timely delivery of projects.
  • Industry Research and Trends: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Internal Communications: Contribute to internal communications by supporting the development of an internal communications strategy, defining key elements, communication channels, town hall topics, and decks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or the Humanities with an appropriate portfolio to demonstrate skill and design style.
  • Proven track record of at least 2 years in a marketing management role.
  • Experience in the Insurance/Financial Services sector an asset.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress and website content management (basic updates).
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, social media management tools, and marketing automation systems.
  • A master of the full Adobe Creative Suite (emphasis on InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere).
  • A master in the MS Office Suite of products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) that also produces compelling and visually appealing presentations and proposals.
  • Basic copywriting experience an asset (ads, short form).
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
