About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at ROLL STONE GRANITE COUNTERTOP INC. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units to construct residential or commercial structures.
  • Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing for buildings and other structures.
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units, ensuring precise measurements and quality control.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and sketches to calculate materials required for each project.
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools, maintaining high standards of accuracy and precision.
  • Lay bricks or other masonry units to build chimneys and fireplaces, adhering to safety protocols and building codes.
  • Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys, ensuring structural integrity and durability.
  • Lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Line or reline furnaces, kilns, boilers and similar installations using refractory or acid-resistant bricks, refractory concretes, plastic refractories and other materials, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • The Masonry Specialist will work in a physically demanding environment, requiring frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • The role involves working at heights, in confined spaces, and with heavy materials, necessitating a high level of physical fitness and stamina.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in masonry and construction.
  • Permanent employment with a reputable company.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
  • 35 hours of work per week, with a regular schedule and opportunities for overtime.
