Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Reliable Developments. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for bringing your expertise to various projects, from renovation to construction.



Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for projects
  • Develop and implement accurate layouts in compliance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for projects
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure efficient project timelines
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation
  • Operate computer-aided design (CADD) and other software systems to support project planning and execution
  • Perform routine maintenance, repair, and renovation work on residences and wooden structures in various settings


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction or a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring heavy lifting and manual labour
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive work culture
