About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Provincial Preschool Autism Service (PPAS) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing clinical diagnostic assessments of children suspected of having a diagnosis of autism. You will work collaboratively with our interprofessional teams to provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment services to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments of children suspected of having a diagnosis of autism
  • Develop and implement individualized management plans with families, taking into account identified strengths and difficulties, as well as family priorities and knowledge of available resources
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide direct clinical services, caregiver education, and clinical consultation and collaboration with families and team members
  • Participate in provincial clinical leadership and contribute to the development of provincial autism diagnostic services
Requirements

We are looking for a registered or eligible psychologist with a Master's or PhD degree in Clinical Psychology. You will have a minimum of three years of pediatric work experience, with a focus on autism diagnosis and intervention. You will also have knowledge of standard autism assessment instruments, such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedules-2 (ADOS-2), and experience in the use of evidence-based intervention techniques. Supervised training will be provided for candidates who meet all other job requirements but do not have specific autism diagnostic experience.
