CNC Machinist Role Description

**Job Summary**

Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their manufacturing team in Mississauga, ON. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to technical specifications.
* Prepare CNC machines for production by setting up tools, fixtures, and materials.
* Load and program CNC machines using G-code, ensuring precise operations according to production requirements.
* Perform initial machine setups, tool changes, and offsets for different machining processes.
* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine machining operations.
* Make adjustments to program parameters to optimize machine performance and ensure product quality.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programs, tooling, and machine operations.
* Monitor machine operations and perform regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
* Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions.
* Document and maintain accurate records of production runs, quality checks, and adjustments made during operation.

**Requirements**

* High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency with CNC programming software and G-code.
* Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and precision measurement techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
* Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and high-quality standards.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or technical issues.
* Familiarity with CNC machine maintenance and safety protocols.
