iLoad Trucking Ltd. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team.
Job Description:As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination over long distances, often across international borders. Your duties will include:
Key Responsibilities:- Driving a tractor-trailer combination over long distances, often across international borders.
- Loading and unloading goods, ensuring safe and secure transportation.
- Obtaining special permits and documents required for international routes.
- Inspecting and maintaining the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
- Performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
- Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
- Transporting and handling dangerous goods.
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Experience an asset
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
This is a permanent position with a 50-hour workweek. The work language is English, and the job involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
