Position Overview

We are seeking an Equipment Applications Consultant who will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of machinery and equipment. This position serves as a vital link between our clients and the engineering team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and possess a creative mindset, eager to advance their career in engineering. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design preliminary concepts for customer quotations
  • Engage with clients at a technical level to ascertain specific requirements
  • Coordinate with third parties to validate product claims
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to both internal teams and clients
  • Assist in estimating labor and material costs for quotations and provide design recommendations
  • Identify technical risks and their potential impact on projects to mitigate issues
  • Participate in concept reviews, design kick-offs, and manufacturing assessments
  • Travel to client locations as necessary
  • Maintain professionalism in alignment with company values, including language, attire, and workmanship
  • Adhere to company policies regarding overtime, after-hours work, and on-call responsibilities as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D
  • Familiarity with the food industry, food safety, and sanitary design principles
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment on various design projects
  • Proficient in solving complex technical challenges and applying critical thinking in a dynamic environment
  • Capable of maintaining professionalism in client interactions
  • Skilled in effectively communicating designs through 2D/3D engineered drawings
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing techniques
  • Understanding of automated equipment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes and equipment
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Able to collaborate with diverse personality types and resolve conflicts
