Job Title: Occupational Therapy/Physio Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy/Physio Therapy Assistant to join our team at Southlake Regional Health Centre. As an Occupational Therapy/Physio Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our occupational therapists and physiotherapists to provide patient-centered care and support individuals with a range of physical and cognitive impairments.

Responsibilities
  • Assist occupational therapists and physiotherapists in the delivery of patient care, including conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients and their families, promoting independence and empowerment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and customer service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A combined Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant diploma from a recognized college.
  • Current rehab/patient care experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • A commitment to client-centered care and a passion for delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
