About the RoleThis is a permanent, full-time position with an estimated salary of $85,000 per year, based on a 40 to 45 hour workweek in the English language.
As a Kitchen Specialist, you will be responsible for creating interior spaces that reflect clients' needs and tastes. This includes reading blueprint, schemas and drawings, advising on selection of colours, finishes and materials, lighting, furniture and other items, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards.
You will consult with clients to determine their needs, preferences, safety requirements and purpose of space, and develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen designs
- Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Develop detailed plans and 3-D models for kitchen layouts
- Collaborate with clients to select materials, colours and finishes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
- Provincial or territorial Interior Design Certification
- Technical certificate in Interior Design
- Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
