About the RoleThe Modeling Director will be responsible for developing advanced valuation methodologies and designing derivative models to support various business units. You will work closely with traders and portfolio managers to develop valuation curves and derivative pricing models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support trading and risk management activities.
- Design and implement derivative models to ensure accurate valuation and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with the vendor to resolve modeling issues and develop workaround solutions.
- Build internal benchmarks for mark-to-market calculations and sensitivity simulations.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Master's required, PhD preferred) in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or Actuarial Science.
- Minimum five years of modeling related experience in the financial services industry.
- Strong foundation in quantitative finance and contingent claim theory.
- Familiarity with market practices for pricing fixed income, interest rate, equity, currency, and credit derivatives.
