Culinary Specialist

We are a dynamic and fast-paced café looking for a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet customer demands
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a clean and organized workspace
As a Culinary Specialist at The Hut Café, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent communication skills. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure to meet customer demands.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment
- Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

- Support for newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition
- Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
English is the primary language of communication, and the work term is permanent.
Hours of work are 35 to 40 hours per week.
