Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asset Protection Representative to join our team at Shoppers Drug Mart in West Vancouver. As an Asset Protection Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our stores, protecting our assets, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deter, detect, and apprehend for theft and fraud within retail locations; compile and present evidence for the purpose of court or arbitration.
  • Collaborate with other Asset Protection Representatives to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases when they arise.
  • Collaborate with the local police service regularly.
  • Detect and identify potential shrink opportunities within operational core compliance.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with Associate-Owners and their team(s) by communicating and providing training on Asset Protection policies and procedures.
  • Assist Associate-Owners and their team(s) with incident de-escalation.
  • Participate in Community Events.
  • Be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights, overnights, and weekends (40 hr. work week).
Requirements
  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License required.
  • Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, Powers of Arrest, and CCTV and/or surveillance systems; have a working knowledge of Windows-based applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
  • A high degree of initiative and integrity required to be successful in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaborative skills and a willingness to support Associate-Owners.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
