Agilius Work Solutions seeks a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to contribute to our team's efforts in providing psychiatric services to injured workers. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic and assessment skills, experience in trauma-related disorders, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

About the Role :

This contractual position offers flexibility in scheduling and competitive compensation. As part of our multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and recommend evidence-based psychiatric treatment.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Conduct psychiatric evaluations of individuals referred to the program.
  2. Develop treatment plans based on clinical assessment and collaboration with the team.
  3. Recommend psychiatric treatment, including medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide support to colleagues.
  5. Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to ethical standards.
  6. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development.

Required Qualifications :

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution, with specialty in Psychiatry.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry.
  • Current licensure to practice Psychiatry in the province of Newfoundland.
  • Strong diagnostic and assessment skills.
  • Experience in trauma-related disorders preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation systems is desirable but not required.
