Data Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Lead to join our team at Banque Nationale du Canada.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehouse and data pipelines. This is a challenging role that requires a strong foundation in data engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:- Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources and store in our data warehouse.
- Data Modeling: Build and optimize data models to efficiently store data and retrieve large datasets for analytics and reporting.
- Workflow Monitoring: Monitor and maintain data workflows to ensure performance and reliability.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with data analysts, data governance, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in data engineering or a similar position.
- Minimum 5 years experience in SQL and relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Postgres).
- Minimum 5 years experience developing ETL solutions using SSIS.
- Minimum 5 years experience programming in C# or Python.
- Experience using code repositories (e.g. Git, Bitbucket, TFS).
- Experience in data warehousing concepts and solutions.
- Experience in optimizing data pipelines and SQL queries.
- Experience working with cloud technologies such as Azure.
