About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Primary Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients in a designated service or program area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and partner with other members of the healthcare team to achieve the most appropriate and timely care for patients.
  • Work autonomously or in collaboration with other members of the team to diagnose, order, and interpret laboratory tests, order and interpret reports of diagnostic imaging investigations, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform procedures.
  • Develop and implement holistic care plans that integrate the physical, biologic, psychologic, and spiritual needs of patients.
  • Engage with family, community, and other agencies/services as appropriate to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Masters' of Nursing – Advanced Nursing Practice stream.
  • Registered with the Nova Scotia College Nurses with active-practicing status, with a license to practice as an NP in Nova Scotia or eligible for registration.
  • Current certification in BCLS or willing to obtain.
