Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to own a key software team responsible for developing the next generation of core infrastructure for Amazon EKS. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting a product vision, staffing and scaling a critical engineering team, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of engineers in designing and architecting new systems and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop multi-tier web services.
  • Develop and implement engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Partner with product management teams to collect requirements and describe software product features.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and manage teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering team management.
  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams.
  • Experience in designing or architecting new systems and services.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Experience partnering with product management teams.
