Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team at Insight Advantage Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with employment-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews to gather employment history, educational background, and career goals
  • Prepare case histories and assess problems to identify barriers to employment
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance job readiness skills, job search strategies, and resume writing
  • Provide administrative support and advise employers on human resource and employment-related matters
  • Counsel clients, provide therapy, and mediation services, as well as facilitate group sessions
  • Administer and interpret tests to determine client interests, aptitudes, and abilities
  • Collect labor market information and provide clients with job opening details, entry requirements, and other occupational information
  • Support established workers in dealing with job dissatisfaction, career changes, and workplace transitions
  • FOLLOW UP ON COUNSELLING PROGRAMS AND CLIENT ADJUSTMENT
  • Provide consulting services to community groups, agencies, businesses, and organizations
  • Prepare assessment, progress, follow-up, and court reports
Requirements:
  • Education:
  • College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years
  • or equivalent experience
  • Experience:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years
