We are seeking an experienced Automotive Collision Repair Technician to join our team at Scott Town Autobody Ltd. in a challenging and rewarding role.
About the RoleIn this position, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. This will involve replacing front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components, filing, grinding and sanding body surfaces, and operating soldering equipment or using plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams.
Key Responsibilities- Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
- File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
- Hammertime out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
- Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
- Repair or replace interior components
- Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
- Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of automotive collision repair techniques and processes
- The ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- The ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects and work in confined spaces
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.
