Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train sales staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to meet sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assign sales staff to duties and ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling procedures.
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to ensure that the store is well-stocked.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that sales staff are working in a safe and healthy environment.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters to help inform business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
