Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT System Administrator to join our team at Air Canada Rouge. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for administering cloud infrastructure, managing servers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer cloud infrastructure in AWS and MS Azure platforms
  • Manage and support AWS infrastructure, with in-depth knowledge of foundational AWS services
  • Work closely with DevOps and IT OPS teams to deploy and test code across multiple environments
  • Ensure all servers are fully operational and take corrective action where necessary
  • Administer Redhat Enterprise Linux v7/8/9 servers and Windows 2016+ servers
  • Perform system administration tasks, including performance tuning, system optimization, and disk space planning
  • Work closely with senior IT team and Information Security team to apply corporate security framework
  • Monitor, identify, and resolve production capacity, contention, and resource deficiencies
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain local and wide area networks
  • Install system patches and updates, and perform hardware and software upgrades
Requirements
  • College diploma (or higher) in Computer Sciences
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud administration with AWS and/or MS Azure platforms
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing Cisco and/or Fortinet networking equipment
  • Working experience with LogRhytm SIEM and f5 LTM, aWAF, and BIG IP DNS is an asset
  • Experience with VMware environments is an asset
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator is an asset
  • Certification with any information security standard is an asset
  • CCNA, MCSE, RHCE, VCP, and experience with diagramming tools are assets
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong commitment to quality and results
  • Able to provide on-call 24x7 coverage when required
  • Extremely organized and diligent in maintaining consistency
  • Continually strives to improve IT's customer service delivery
