Precision Manufacturing Operations Director

About Universal Precision Technology - A leading manufacturer of precision components and sub-assemblies for various industries, we are expanding our team with a skilled professional.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team and demonstrating expertise in quality systems. Key duties include coordinating plant activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective manufacturing objectives, and adhering to industry standards such as AS9100 / ISO 9001:2015. The ideal candidate will also participate in audits, analyze production trends, and implement cost-effective actions.
Responsibilities
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing management;
- Bachelor's degree in production management, business administration, or mechanical engineering;
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate others;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Highly effective communication skills both written and verbal;
- Ability and willingness to implement Lean / Six Sigma initiatives;
- The proven ability to meet deadlines while under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.;
- Knowledge of CNC machining and tooling design is an asset
- Basic security clearance (Controlled Goods Program);
- Steel toe safety shoes required;
- Estimated salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year.
