We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Department Supervisor to join our team at Maxi. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our department, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of 11-15 team members, including grocery clerks and shelf stockers, to ensure seamless department operations.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and efficient stockroom operations.
- Customer Service: Foster a positive customer experience by resolving issues, answering questions, and providing exceptional service.
- Merchandising and Sales: Collaborate with the buying team to select and receive merchandise, and develop strategies to drive sales growth and meet sales targets.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit regular reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
- Language: Fluency in French is required.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced retail environment with tight deadlines and heavy workload.
