About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Okanagan Pizza. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Dishwashing Operations: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Storage and Organization: Place dishes in storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Hand Washing and Sanitizing: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness.
  • Scouring and Cleaning: Scour pots and pans to remove food residue and stains, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
Personal Qualities and Skills
  • Team Player: We are looking for someone who is a team player, able to work collaboratively with our kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Multitasking: The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks is essential in this role, as you will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and operating dishwashers simultaneously.
  • Work Term and Hours: This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in our kitchen, and we require all staff to be proficient in English.
