Operational Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Management Specialist to join our Financial Risk Management team at KPMG in Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational risk management and a proven track record of delivering high-quality consulting services to clients in the banking and insurance sectors.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing consulting services in non-financial risk management, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks. Key responsibilities will include:
Working closely with the Risk Management practice on major projects to deliver high-quality consulting services to clients.Contributing to business development efforts, including the preparation of proposals and presentations to prospective clients.Reviewing and analyzing data to identify operational risks and develop recommendations for mitigation.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery and stakeholder management.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate will require:
2-5 years of relevant work experience in operational risk management.A Bachelor's degree or post-graduate diploma in Finance, Management, or a related field.Extensive experience in Operational Risk Regulations and Guidelines (Basle Accords).In-depth knowledge of Operational Risk Framework Implementation (Governance, Identification and Assessment of Risks, Quantification, Reporting).Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
