Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreperson to join our team at Accoravillage. As a Shop Foreperson, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our shop, ensuring that all work is performed safely, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to all shop staff, mentoring and coaching them to instill a sense of ownership and career satisfaction.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all shop personnel, equipment, vehicles, and work areas are in compliance with all safety policies and regulations at all times.
  • Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, and programs to improve safety, productivity, and cost savings for the site.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all equipment records and files, and ensure that fleet software is properly and fully utilized.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with Operations Supervisors and drivers in a professional and team-oriented manner.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Must possess and keep valid applicable licenses, including a valid 310T Truck & Coach license.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot faults.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability: Available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, and work weekends and holidays as well as be flexible with the hours of work.
