Logistics Coordinator for Distribution and Shipping

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at AppleOne. This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing the shipment and receiving functions, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with Warehouse Team Lead to determine shipment methods and freight rates
- Assemble containers and crates, record contents in ERP system, pack goods with tape or straps to be shipped as per standards and to minimize shipping damage.
- Affix identifying information and shipping instructions such as labels, and markings and ensure the information is accurate.
- Determine how many trucks are needed, the amount of time and the price to deliver the customer's product.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices. Record shortages and notify the quality department of damaged goods and obtain instructions from Warehouse Team Lead on how to handle damaged receipts.
- Assist driver with unloading of goods and unpacks, records, and delivers goods to appropriate storage areas.
- Operate forklift, pole trucks, pump carts, dollies etc., to load, unload, transport, and store goods as per operating and safety standards.
- Ensure that the customer's product is delivered on time and to the right destination.
- Assist in fabrication of shipments.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or vocational equivalent
- 3+ years' experience completing bills of lading, obtaining freight rates, loading, and unloading trucks, and operating various forklifts
- Ability to work independently as well as cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team.
- Problem solving abilities resolve conflicts and problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain an excellent rapport with suppliers etc.
- Ability to prioritize and organize.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
- Ability to work in a time efficient manner.
- Ability to pack and unpack boxes, cover rolls, load, and unload trucks.
- Health and Safety aware to minimize risk of injury from equipment.

What We Offer:

- Estimated salary: $45,000 - $46,000 per year, based on location and experience
