About the Role:

Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is seeking a seasoned Chief Risk Officer to lead our risk management function and provide strategic direction and vision for the organization. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for identifying and monitoring regulatory obligations and risks, developing and implementing risk management frameworks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of FCC's risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Manage significant risk issues and events, including assessment, root cause analysis, communication, and remediation.
  • Develop and present regular risk reports to senior management, the Risk and Controls Committee, and the Audit Committee.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational risks are properly assessed and mitigated.
  • Communicate risk programs and initiatives effectively across the organization and provide training as required.

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management and risk programs.
  • Prior experience in compliance and back-office operations.
  • 10+ years of experience at the management level.
  • Professional designation or certificate in risk management or internal control.
