About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team at Blue Star Projects Ltd. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints, as well as preparing surfaces and curing freshly plastered surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Installation
    • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
    • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
    • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring
  • Finishing and Smoothing
    • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
    • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
    • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Decorative Finishing
    • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
    • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
  • Estimation and Planning
    • Estimate costs and materials

    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
