About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Michael Garron Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for managing drug therapy, supervising technical personnel, and providing direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage drug therapy, including electronic verification of medication orders and patient education
- Supervise pharmacy assistants in their dispensary duties and ensure safe procedures are followed
- Participate in educational programs and projects sponsored by the pharmacy discipline or hospital, including teaching pharmacy students and other professional staff
- Support daily drug distribution activities, including weekend, evening, and on-call assignments
Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or Doctor of Pharmacy
- Registration as a Part A Pharmacist in Ontario
- Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada certification
- Clinical Hospital Pharmacy patient-focused experience (preferred 1 year)
- Excellent communication skills for teaching professionals, students, and patients
