Job Title: Electrical Technologist

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technologist to join our team in British Columbia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing skilled technical assistance and quality service to our clients while maintaining a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

* Provide technical assistance and advice on projects to clients while maintaining a commitment to safety.

* Assess technical issues on site and provide recommendations for possible repairs or upgrades.

* Assist technical staff with technical problems, project management issues, and meeting safety requirements.

* Manage multiple small jobs by coordinating the effective use of technical staff, equipment, and other resources.

* Provide mentorship, support, and learning opportunities to junior technical staff.

* Contribute expertise to projects involving transformer testing, industrial plant and utility relaying protection, metering schemes, switchgear testing/maintenance, power system design, and/or turnkey substations.

Requirements:

* Accredited 2-year technical college diploma in Applied Science Technology, Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, degree in Electrical Engineering, PSE designation, or Red Seal Journeyman Electrician.

* Experience in an Electrical Engineering Technologist role will be considered an asset.

* PSE or C.E.T designation will be considered an asset.

* Cable termination experience with brands such as 3M, Raychem, Pfisterer will be considered an asset.

* NETA certification is considered an asset.

* Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

* Must possess a valid driver's license and clean abstract as fieldwork will be a requirement of this position.

* Canadian passport is required as some travel is an asset.

Pay Scale:

* $35 to $55 depending on experience.

* Overtime after 8 hours, Double time after 10 hours.
