Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and Unloading: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Support Services: Assist medical examiners, align pipes during pipeline construction, drill and blast rock on construction sites, and level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Cleanup and Demolition: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Security and Safety: Pass a criminal record check.
  • Transportation: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, hardworking, and ability to work in a team environment.
