Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs, including braking systems, drivetrains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions, and oil, temperature control, gas regulating components, electrical systems, and more.
  • Identify and report any additional maintenance or repairs necessary during assigned tasks, consulting with higher-qualified technicians if required.
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure repairs resolve issues.
  • Arrange for and obtain approval of all major repairs before releasing vehicles from the maintenance facility.
  • Record work hours, parts used, and repairs conducted on internal forms.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, productive, and efficient work area.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with others.
  • At least 3 years of experience working on bus/coach fleet equipment and related vehicles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and handle on-road service calls.
