We are seeking a skilled Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Raise. As a key member of our client's Consulting Engineering industry team, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful and impactful projects, learn and grow alongside an experienced team, and build skills with an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and assess damage in civil/structural fields within residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
- Manage and work with multi-disciplinary teams on large and complex assignments, researching failure modes and code requirements as needed.
- Prepare reports and permit drawings outlining restoration/renovation work, including structural design and drafting of restoration to damaged residential buildings and design of new residential buildings.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and building owners to facilitate smooth project completion.
- Provide structural recommendations in well-written reports.
- Travel throughout Ontario and other locations as needed.
Requirements:
- University degree in civil/structural engineering and P.Eng. designation.
- 3+ years of structural design experience, with a minimum of 3 years in wood frame construction.
- Management and leadership experience is an asset.
- Construction/site experience in wood frame construction is an asset.
- Familiarity with CAD software and Part 9 of the OBC.
- Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License and access to a properly insured vehicle.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
