Job Overview
Head Medical is seeking a qualified Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at our clinic in Mississauga, Ontario.
Role Responsibilities
• Examine patients and take their medical histories, order laboratory tests and consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, provide acute care management, and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
• Provide pre-natal and post-natal care, advise patients and their families on health care including health promotion, disease, illness, and accident prevention.
• Perform patient advocacy, co-ordinate or manage primary patient care, and provide continuous care to patients.
Requirements
• Doctor of Medicine; completion of Family Medicine residency training program in either the UK, Ireland, U.S, Canada, or Australasia.
• Completion of the Ontario provincial licensing authority requirements, with prior specialist work experience an asset.
• Fluency in English, with Spanish language skills also required due to the large Spanish-speaking community in the area.
