The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Math, Science, and other classes listed in the Alberta Education Programs of Study. Key qualifications include a Bachelor of Education degree, awareness and support of the Fort McMurray Islamic School's Education Vision document and mission statement, and a child-centered approach to instruction and teacher/student relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Math, Science, and other classes listed in the Alberta Education Programs of Study
  • Develop and implement individual program plans for special needs students
  • Utilize technology as an instructional tool
  • Establish productive relationships with staff and parents
  • Participate in the school community beyond the classroom
  • Commit to continuous professional growth and development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education degree
  • Knowledge of curriculum and teaching experience at junior high levels/subject areas
