About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Harbor Pilot to join our team at LHR Americas. As a key member of our Terminal Pilotage Ops Div, you will be responsible for providing a professional pilotage service vessel traffic management system and support services at all Saudi Aramco Oil Ports and Terminals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct deep-loaded vessels to a safe anchorage and line up same for the departure channel upon the ship's Master's request.
  • Investigate ship/pier-related oil pollution incidents and prepare reports.
  • Maintain a permanent official log of vessels handled.
  • Advises vessels of ballast condition required, berthing and unberthing time and other information to expedite ship movement and help with optimum scheduling.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science from a recognized and approved Maritime Studies College and have 5 years of experience, including at least 4 in Harbor Pilot or seagoing experience.
  • Or you will hold a High National Diploma from a recognized and approved Maritime Studies College and have 6 years of experience, including at least 4 in Harbor Pilot or seagoing experience.
  • Maritime Studies discipline required for HND & Bachelor graduates.
  • Tanker Safety Course-Basic training in Oil/Chem/Gas.
  • Helicopter and Underwater Escape Training Course is also necessary.
