We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at 1445437 B.C. Ltd. as a key member of our food service team.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Ensure all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, are clean and sanitized.
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and serving food, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
- Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Support for Colleagues: Offer assistance and support to colleagues as needed, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Receive mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to support your career development.
- Cross-Cultural Training: Participate in diversity and cross-cultural training to enhance your understanding of different cultures and backgrounds.
- On-the-Job Training: Receive on-the-job training tailored to your needs and interests.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication.
- Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
