A competitive compensation package will be offered based on your experience and the requirements of this role. Estimated salary range: CAD 65,000 - CAD 90,000 per year, depending on your background and qualifications.
Job Description:In this role as a Financial Planner, you will develop and deepen client relationships by providing high-quality investment and financial planning advice within the mass affluent market.
- You will follow a comprehensive financial planning framework, focusing on investment sales and new client acquisition.
- You will also establish business development opportunities with prospects and clients within the assigned market area.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting in-depth reviews for assigned clients, including retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and estate planning.
- Demonstrating a natural curiosity to uncover and solve for clients' needs, delivering trusted financial advice on their investments and retirement planning.
- You will be self-directed and performance-oriented in your approach, discovering clients' needs, listening to understand what they are looking for, and customizing financial strategies and solutions.
- You will educate clients, provide relevant insights, and expert advice.
- You will demonstrate a collaborative approach when dealing with peers, clients, and partners.
- You will build relationships, focusing on providing a great client experience and growing long-standing relationships with existing clients.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Experience in financial planning and investment sales is preferred.
- Successfully completed the Personal Financial Planning (PFP) designation and/or a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
- You should be a mutual funds certified professional, with current accreditation and good standing for MFDA licensing requirements (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
- You should be goal-oriented and entrepreneurial, able to work independently as a self-motivated entrepreneur with minimal supervision and as part of a larger team.
- Knowledgeable of competitive offerings, market trends, economic conditions, and the regulatory environment.
