Job Title: Project Manager - Mechanical

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is partnering with Smith + Andersen to recruit a talented Project Manager - Mechanical to join their team in Halifax, NS.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager - Mechanical to lead and execute multiple complex projects in the mechanical building services field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, mechanical engineering, and a proven track record of successfully executing projects from concept to detailed engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Prepare and review project documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with Engineers Nova Scotia.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, mechanical engineering, and building services.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing complex projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • LEED certification or experience implementing sustainable design is an asset.
