High-Profile Building Mechanical Systems Manager

About the RoleAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Deputy Team Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the design and construction of buildings within our Buildings + Places business line. With a strong background in mechanical systems and building experience, you will have the opportunity to grow into a leadership position.
We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual who can provide specialized technical input to studies and design, develop estimates of technical efforts, and perform quality control reviews. Your expertise in HVAC and plumbing design for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities will be invaluable to our team.
Responsibilities- Provides technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develops estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of contract documents package.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
- Assists mechanical engineering team manager with mentoring junior and intermediate engineering staff.
- Assists team manager with prioritizing workload and projects for CADD and Revit production technicians and technologists.
- Liaises with other discipline leads to meet client performance objectives in an optimized and value-added manner.
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 6 (six) years of experience designing HVAC and plumbing for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities.
- Professional Engineering license is required.
- PWGSC/PSPC - Level II Secret Clearance preferred for Federal Projects.
