About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Cloud9 Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation of drywall in our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and develop a plan to meet project deadlines.
  • Team Leadership: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure the smooth execution of drywall installation tasks.
  • Quality Control: Apply successive coats of compound, sand seams and joints, and cure freshly plastered surfaces to achieve high-quality finishes.
  • Material Management: Estimate costs and materials, and prepare tenders and quotations for drywall installation projects.
  • Site Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces, cut and install metal corner beads, and fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids.
  • Task Execution: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, fill joints and holes with joint compound, and finish corners and angles.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
