Engagement Specialist Co-op Opportunity

We are seeking an Engagement Specialist Co-op to assist our Citizen Development practice, which involves creating business applications using low-code or no-code tools. This role is perfect for someone with a curiosity for cloud platforms and the ability to craft effective communications and engagement activities for individuals with diverse technical backgrounds.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be technically savvy, quick to learn, and comfortable working individually and in a group setting. They will also be responsible for simplifying technical language into plain English, using an informal and friendly tone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage with the Digital Maker community at Teck to raise awareness of the tool and share success stories.
  • Be a key contributor in the development and execution of the change and engagement plan.
  • Reviewing content, providing comments and proofreading.
  • Ensure communication materials align with corporate communications branding guidelines.
  • Support the nurturing of a community excited to innovate and experiment across Teck.

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a Business, Communications program, or a related field of study with an accredited co-op program.
  • Experience or interest in developing content, including research, writing and editing.
  • Proficient in working across a variety of programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365.
  • An understanding or curiosity on Cloud Platforms and Citizen Development would be an asset, particularly the Microsoft Power Platform.
