The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to join a respected multidisciplinary team providing specialized mental health services to children and adolescents. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients under 19 years old with various psychiatric disorders. Your expertise will be valuable in developing individualized treatment plans and contributing to the interdisciplinary care approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct standardized assessments of occupational function
- Develop and implement interventions to remediate impairments
- Provide input into discharge and follow-up planning
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on patient care plans
Requirements
- Graduate of a World Federation of Occupational Therapy (WFOT) Approved Occupational Therapy Program
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia (COTNS)
- Registered or eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)
- Two years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist with child and adolescent populations
